Meyer Stone is a small team of seasoned operators and investors based in New York City. We are dedicated to fulfilling the legacy of local entrepreneurs by continuing to nurture and grow their businesses through acquisition and investment. As proud residents of the New York City area, our mission is to partner with entrepreneurs to carry forward their original mission; building value and generational wealth through hard work and extraordinary leadership.

Target Criteria

At Meyer Stone we seek to acquire resilient, enduringly profitable businesses that are territory leaders in their respective industries, with outstanding market reputations and passionate teams committed to the future success of the business. Your business is a great fit for us provided it meets most, if not all of these criteria:

  • EBITDA $750K - $1.5M.

  • Geographically located in New York City or Long Island.

  • Industry agnostic, with a preference for B2B sector businesses.

  • Sticky revenue; business has recurring revenue characteristics demonstrated over 5+ years of operations.

  • Reputation; company is an established leader in its category with an outstanding customer track record.

  • Management team; operational leadership either in place or ability for current team to step up.

  • Platform potential; competitive landscape is fragmented with acquirable assets in nearby territories.

Meet Dan

Dan Ruch is the Principal and Owner of Meyer Stone. With over 20 years of venture capital and startup operating experience, Dan is uniquely positioned to lead your organization into its next chapter of growth.

Dan also currently serves as a General Partner at Rho Ignition, a venture capital fund based in New York City, where he represents Rho’s interests in several early stage startups across a variety of categories including Healthcare Technology, eCommerce, Enterprise Software, and Blockchain.

Prior to joining Rho, Dan founded and was CEO of Rocketrip, a corporate travel platform that helps enterprises reduce spend by rewarding employees for saving. Rocketrip’s clients include Twitter, ServiceNow, Kellogg’s, Viacom, and BMW. Under Dan’s leadership, Rocketrip raised $32M in venture funding from top tier investors and exited to Mondee Holdings in September of 2020.

Prior to founding Rocketrip, Dan served as Vice President, Europe for Tremor Video, a leading provider of technology-driven video advertising solutions. Before that, Dan was responsible for Tremor’s business development efforts in the US. Earlier in his career, he worked at TACODA until its successful exit to AOL, and at GroupM’s agency Mindshare / MAXUS global.

Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BA in Psychology and lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
